Autism

My child has autism and it is very difficult to understand him at times. There are things that he doesn't like such as loud sound and he tends to mess with his ears alot. I also have another child who is perfectly normal. That second child is very understanding of her autistic brother. She is a protecter for him and a caregiver at times. They are only 3 years apart and she acts like a mother to him. There is so much i dont know about autism i have read books but every autistic child is different and unique in there owe way. I am extremely proud of both my children there are my world and mean everything to me my son is 10 but is maybe at age 8 in his head my daughter is 6 and she acts like she is 10. It is really hard to deal with him since you cant get made at him the way you would a normal kid. He tends to see things differently and loves electronics. I make sure i push him to do his best in school because I dont want to limit him in anyway he is smart in his own way. I want to make sure he lives up to his potential no matter what it is. I have been doing reseacher on autisitc kids and they have similar traits like trouble with socializing and have communication issues too. I made sure to get him evaluated when he was 4 and they first said he was adhd and i still thought something else was wrong because he wasnt learning like other kids his age. Plus, he took a very long time with his developmental skills. And, like about a year ago they evaluated him again at age 9 and said he is autistic which made sense. Like all the struggles we went through when he was a toddler and as he has been growing up i understand now a bit more his disability.
